At House of Define we are passionate about providing you with information about treatments in order to educate and empower you when making decisions for you and your own body.
However new TGA regulations have come into effect in January 2024 that dictate that we are not able to use certain terms and images.
This significantly restricts the content of our website and social media pages which makes it very difficult to convey basically any information about treatments we provide without a face to face consultation.
Comprehensive consultations have always been the first step in your treatment journey, however now they are more important than ever.
All the information you need will be provided during your consultation.
Prior to your appointment you will also find the following information helpful.
All new patients must book in for a Initial consultation prior to having a treatment- Even if you have had treatments elsewhere previously.
This is important to allow time for-
-Assessment of suitability for treatment
-Discussion of any relevant medical history
-Information about treatment and side effects
-Information about aftercare
-Creating a treatment plan
-Answering any questions you may have
-Completing Pre treatment photographs and paperwork (if required)
This needs to be completed even if you have had treatments elsewhere previously in order to fulfil our duty of care by ensuring you are throughly informed about treatments prior to proceeding. We also have paperwork to complete to comply with regulations.
Please understand that this takes time. If you do book in for a treatment without booking in for a consultation first we reserve the right to move your appointment to a suitable time which allows time for consultation to avoid running late and inconveniencing other patients.
You can read more about initial consultations here.
We offer a wide range of cosmetic medical treatments, however due to new TGA regulations we are not able to name them or give you information without a consultation.
These regulations restrict and prohibit providing information about-
-The treatments offered
-Information about treatments
-Treatment specific aftercare information for treatments
-Photos of treatments/ treatment examples
-Patient reviews
-Prices
All of this information is still available to you!
However, it cannot be provided via the website, social media pages, phone or email.
If you are new to us, the only way to get information about these treatments is during a face to face consultation.
We understand that this is frustrating however we have no choice but to comply with regulations.
Booking online is the best way to make a booking so you are able to easily select a day and time that suits you.
If you are a new patient please book your appointment via the 'new patient' section via the booking link at the bottom of this page.
You are able to have a treatment the same day as your appointment however you will need to also select time for a treatment if you wish to do this.
The descriptions of treatment appointments will appear very vague- this is unavoidable due to regulations prohibiting us from naming treatments- please refer to the appointment description section for more information.
Reduction of lines- This refers to areas where muscle movement creates lines and wrinkles.
Volume enhancing - This refers to replacing or adding volume to areas of the face.
Collagen Stimulating - There are a few options available to assist with addressing skin quality and skin hydration. These treatments do not provide any volume.
**PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT offer beauty based skin treatments- facials, peels, laser etc we only provide medical cosmetic treatments.
We do offer other treatments- however these treatments are not available in the new patient booking section as they are not an 'on the day' appointment and require consultation prior to booking.
If you would like a treatment but you are confused by the descriptions and/or you are unsure what to book for please select the 'unsure what to book for' option and we will contact you to confirm.
Please allow sufficient time for your consultation and/or treatment.
Your initial consultation and/or treatment is NOT a quick 15 minute appointment.
Even if this is what you have experienced elsewhere previously, please understand that our approach is that your initial consultation is the first and most important step of your journey so it is comprehensive and personalised to your needs.
These are medical procedures and as such, there are risks. It is important that you are fully assessed and informed prior to proceeding with treatments for your own safety.
There is also a significant amount of paperwork involved which must be completed in order to comply with regulations.
This all takes time. We will not skip steps just because you did not allow for sufficient time for your appointment.
Appointment times:
Initial consultation- Allow 1 hour
If you are also booking for a treatment on the same day as your consultation please allow yourself additional time for this-
Reduction of lines -Allow 30 minutes
Volume enhancing- Allow 1 hour
Reduction of lines+ Volume enhancing - Allow 1 hour
Collagen Stimulating - Allow 1 hour
Please do not arrive significantly early to your appointment, it is very unlikely that you will be able to be seen before your appointment time.
If you are late to your appointment please understand that you may not have time for treatments after your consultation if you have booked them.
A medical history questionnaire will be sent to you via a text link prior to your appointment.
Please take the time to fill this form out PRIOR to your appointment and answer the questions correctly-even if you think it may be irrelevant.
Health issues and medications are rarely a reason to not treat, however they could potentially affect the outcome or longevity of your treatment, and it is important that your injector discuss this with you.
You may also receive a form specific to each treatment you have booked in for so you have time to digest information prior to you appointment and think of any questions that you may have.
It is important that you read and complete these forms PRIOR to your appointment so we can assess your suitability for treatment and transfer the information to your file in preparation for your appointment.
Whilst it is frustrating filling out multiple forms, please remember these are medical treatments and this is for your own safety, benefit and optimal outcome of treatments.
Conveniently located in the heart of Kingston, but with a perfectly discreet entrance.
We are located at 33 Jardine Street -however the entrance to the clinic is via the back of the building through the Eyre Street Carpark.
Please follow the link in your appointment confirmation text message to find the entrance to the clinic! Do not try to locate us via google maps you will get lost!!
Walk through the Eyre Street Carpark and look for the black door and white urns as per photo.
When you do arrive please buzz the intercom at the front door for access.
If you are having difficulty locating us please click here for further instructions.
The entrance to the clinic is from the Eyre Street carpark so parking is available outside the door.
However please keep in mind that this is not allocated parking, it is a public carpark so there are no guarantees that a carpark will be available.
Particularly at busy times like lunchtime.
There is also a large underground car park under Supabarn supermarket which is directly across the road.
Both of these carparks provide two hours free parking.
Street parking is also available- however please note this is paid parking and the parking wardens are notoriously vicious in this area so please ensure you pre pay plentiful parking time for your appointment.
Whilst we understand that there are sometimes situations where this is unavoidable, it is recommended to not bring children to your appointments.
We do have stairs- There is no lift access so please do let us know if you require assistance with the stairs.
Unfortunately due to being located in a heritage building we are not wheelchair accessible.
Prior to your appointment you may find it useful to read through some of the information on our website in order to prepare and get the best result from your treatment.
