LED Light Therapy FAQ's

HOW OFTEN CAN I USE THE LED BED?

• Many clients choose to use the LED Bed one to three times per week as part of their regular routine.

• For shorter periods, such as before a special event, the LED Bed may be used more frequently if desired.

• LED light therapy is generally considered a cumulative treatment, meaning that many people find consistency and regular use more beneficial than a single session.

• Treatment frequency varies between individuals and depends on personal goals and preferences.

HOW LONG IS A SESSION?

• LED Bed sessions are currently set at 30 minutes.

• Many clients attend before or after work, as part of a relaxing wind-down or simply as a break in their day.

• We have intentionally chosen a 30-minute session length to allow time to settle in, unwind and enjoy the experience, rather than feeling rushed.

HOW MUCH CLOTHING SHOULD I WEAR?

• The LED light must reach the skin in order to provide treatment.

• You may wear as much or as little clothing as you are personally comfortable with during your session.

• Generally, the more skin exposed to the light, the more skin that can be treated.

• The LED Bed is located in a private treatment room and the room can be locked from the inside during your session.

DO I NEED TO REMOVE MY MAKEUP?

• No.

• Your session will still be effective if you are wearing makeup.

• However, for best results, clean skin is recommended where possible.

• Makeup wipes are available within the room should you wish to remove your makeup prior to treatment.

• A mirror and sink are also available within the room should you wish to refresh or touch up your makeup after your session.

DO I NEED TO WEAR EYE PROTECTION?

• Yes.

• Eye protection must be worn during treatment and is provided within the room.

• Do not stare directly into the LEDs.

• The light may appear very bright when the treatment first begins. Most clients find that their eyes adjust quickly.

• If you wear contact lenses and experience any eye sensitivity, you may wish to remove them prior to treatment.

CAN I LISTEN TO MUSIC DURING MY TREATMENT?

• Yes.

• We recommend bringing headphones so you can listen to music, podcasts or guided meditations during your session.

• Many clients use this time to relax, unwind and make the most of their treatment experience.

• Please use headphones when listening to audio, as playing music aloud may be disruptive to other people within the clinic.

WHAT IF I AM GOING STRAIGHT BACK TO WORK AFTER MY TREATMENT?

• Refresh items including wipes, micellar water, cotton pads, cotton buds, dry shampoo and deodorant are available within the LED Room should you require them.

• A mirror and sink are also available within the room should you wish to refresh or touch up your makeup after your session.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ARRIVE LATE?

• Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time.

• Late arrival may reduce the time available for your session.

• As the LED Bed operates on a scheduled appointment system, House of Define is not obligated to extend appointment times due to late arrival.

DO I NEED TO REMOVE MY JEWELLERY?

• No.

• Jewellery may be worn during treatment.

• We recommend placing all clothing, jewellery and personal belongings in the storage bin provided during your session. This helps reduce the risk of items being misplaced or accidentally left behind.

• Please ensure you collect all belongings before leaving.

• If you believe you have left something behind, please email House of Define at info@houseofdefine.com.au.

DO I NEED TO CLEAN THE LED BED AFTER MY SESSION?

• Yes.

• Disinfectant wipes are provided within the room.

• Please wipe down the LED Bed and any eye protection used following your session.

• Please leave the room clean, tidy and ready for the next client.

CAN I BRING CHILDREN TO MY APPOINTMENT?

• No.

• As the LED Bed is a self-directed treatment, children are not permitted to attend LED Bed appointments.

• Children cannot be left unattended within the clinic and cannot remain in the treatment room during treatment.

• If you are unable to attend your appointment due to childcare arrangements, please reschedule your appointment using the booking link provided in your confirmation email.
